We are based in the Scottish Borders, 13 miles north of Berwick upon Tweed and approximately 50 minutes south of Edinburgh.
We've generally got about 30 dogs seeking new homes - please come and meet them; visitors to our Kennels are most welcome. You can also view some video footage shot at the Kennels by Radio Borders some months ago - please go to the page Radio Borders Video
page to view this.
We've just updated the site after having some of our people rehomed. Please have a look at our lovely selection - there is a dog for every eventuality! Visit us soon.

DID YOU KNOW?....
That greyhounds at Sonia's kennels regularly give blood. This is to help other dogs requiring operations and needing blood. Not only do the boys & the girls at the kennel give blood but some of the adopted ones come back specially to help out.
Greyhounds are universal donors, which means that their blood can be used for almost any other breed of dog. People who have adopted greyhounds have had very grateful letters from other pet owners whose dogs have needed blood.
You may wonder whether the greyhounds have to be anaesthetised in order for the blood to be taken - they don't. In fact, they lie peacefully on their sides and lap up the attention from the vets and their assistants. When the blood has been taken, they get a funky coloured bandage for their necks and a nice biscuit as a thank you.
